Two Monte Carlo Circus Festivals Merge

The 45th Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival and the 10th New Generation Competition Merges Into One Event in 2023

After being deprived of the Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival in 2021 and 2022, the public will finally be able to rediscover all the magic of the circus as we celebrate two major anniversaries between 20 and 29 January 2023.

The International Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival is holding its forty-fifth event, and at the same time the tenth New Generation international competition for young circus artists will take place.

For this grand jubilee of the two events, the Organising Committee, chaired by H.S.H. Princess Stéphanie, came up with the idea of integrating some of the New Generation performances as part of the Festival programme.

The Monte-Carlo International Circus Festival and New Generation coming together to present a unique programme!

An international jury will crown the winners of the Bronze, Silver and Gold Clowns, as well as the Bronze, Silver and Gold junior awards.

These awards – the most highly prized circus awards anywhere in the world – will be presented, as is traditional, at the end of the gala evening on Tuesday 24 January 2023.

The two programmes of selected performances will be full of surprises, magic, acrobatics and comedy, as well as presentations of horses, parrots and tigers born and raised in the circus.
