Fiesta Shows' season begins April 7th, at Rockingham Mall in Salem, NH. Preparation for the 2022 season has been ongoing for months at Fiesta Shows' HQ in Seabrook, NH.
Among the many new components of the 2022 show, including a completely updated and refurbished Hurricane ride, Fiesta Shows also implemented OABA's virtual online training platform (VOLT) to train all of their employees on safety and operational excellence. Thanks to a partnership with McGowan Allied Specialty Insurance, access to VOLT is free to all OABA member carnivals and features an ever-growing catalog of 40+ online courses including NAARSO content with dozens more courses to be added throughout the year.
OABA's Tim Kwiatkowski recently visited with Fiesta Shows' managers training them on how to administer the VOLT program to the show's two units. Managers learned how to create user accounts for each employee, assign courses virtually, and run a multitude of reporting as VOLT automatically creates a digital training log for each employee as they progress through their course assignments.
OABA and Fiesta Shows collaborated to craft bite sized learning paths (tracks) of 5 courses for employees to complete each week and also developed an offline process for administering VOLT courses in a group setting. To drive employee engagement to utilize VOLT, Fiesta Shows has offered a monetary incentive program for completing training and has dedicated a section of their weekly meetings to hand out award certificates for course completions.
