HEARING: Friday 2/3/23 New Mexico SB 134
PROHIBITING THE USE OF EXOTIC ANIMALS IN TRAVELING PERFORMANCE
Please send comments or testify via Zoom
Two Emperor Tamarins were stolen from the Dallas Zoo and subsequently found after an anonymous tip led police to an abandoned house southeast of the zoo. They are very fortunate to have been found as we have had an ice storm all week here in North Texas - tamarins are extremely cold sensitive and any prolonged exposure to freezing temps could mean death or serious illness. They are back at the zoo and doing well. Police have a suspect and have upped the reward money from $10K to $25K.
