Also in the news: This past June an ordinance was introduced to city council in Nashville, TN that would have banned the use of soring devices on Tennessee Walking Horses, Racking Horses, and Spotted Saddle Horses. The city ordinance was introduced by a councilwoman that had been lauded by HSUS last year. Fortunately, the ordinance was withdrawn once the other council members took issue with the fact that Federal Law already makes those devices illegal under the Horse Protection Act.
