Worker falls off North Carolina fair Ferris wheel during stoppage
One of the gondolas on a Ferris wheel at the Central Carolina Fair in Greensboro, North Carolina, tilted abnormally Friday with riders aboard, prompting the operator to shut it down. A worker with ride operator Michael's Amusements fell to the ground in his attempt to right the gondola. He was taken to a hospital and found to have received minor injuries. The ride was repaired and approved for reopening after being inspected by the state Department of Labor.
